Getting started
Let Codex do
the setup work.
Start in the repository you want to coordinate, then ask Codex: “Download and set up getstandup.dev.”
Verify and install
Codex reads the published setup instructions, detects your operating system and architecture, verifies the signed release, and installs the CLI and matching plugin for your user account.
Finish the browser steps
You verify your email, select or create a project, and approve a paid subscription if needed. Project creators need a beta invitation; their teammates can join normally.
Confirm your repository
Setup binds the exact repository and writes project-local hooks. Review the binding and trust the hooks in Codex. An ambiguous repository or missing Git remote needs your choice.
Restart and verify
Restart Codex so it discovers the installed plugin. In a new task, run
standup doctor --all-worktreesand resolve any reported prerequisite.
What you need
Codex and Git, an accessible repository with a configured remote, and a supported credential vault. Windows bootstrap uses PowerShell 7.4 or newer. macOS and Linux bootstrap uses bash, Python 3, and OpenSSL. Standup itself includes its .NET runtime.
If your agent cannot download or execute
Use the manual instructions on the downloads page in your own terminal. Work restrictions are respected; setup never disables platform protections. Linux requires a working Secret Service session.
